Can the Marantz AV7706 run 5.1.2?
As a processor it powers none of the 7 speakers 5.1.2 uses: connect power amplifiers to its pre-outs for all of them.
What 5.1.2 takes
- 5 floor speakers: front left and right, a center and two surrounds
- 2 height speakers: in the ceiling, or up-firing modules on the front speakers
- A subwoofer
- A 7-channel power amplifier for every speaker
Marantz AV7706 has pre-outs for front, center, surround, rear surround and height, and 2 subwoofer outputs.
