What screen size fits the Optoma UHD38x?
From 12 ft away it fills a 7–8 ft wide picture: a 100–110 in 16:9 screen, or 94–104 in at 2.35:1, depending on its zoom. Closer makes the picture smaller, farther makes it bigger.
| From the screen | Picture width | 16:9 screen | 2.35:1 screen |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 ft | 6–7 ft | 83–92 in | 79–87 in |
| 12 ft | 7–8 ft | 100–110 in | 94–104 in |
| 15 ft | 9–10 ft | 124–138 in | 118–130 in |
From its published throw ratio: distance divided by picture width. Screens are sold by their diagonal.
